ABOUT ANNIINA

I am a visual artist, graphic designer, and storyteller based in Tampere, Finland. Growing up in Asia as a Third Culture Kid profoundly shaped my worldview, and today, my art serves primarily as a tool to forge connections—between myself, others, and the diverse facets of the world around me.

My practice is recognisable for its intricate details and delicate visuals. Working primarily across painting and paper-based mediums, I explore deep narratives about cultural heritage, autobiographical experiences, and everyday life.

Collaboration is at the heart of my creative identity. I thrive on shared storytelling, whether I am assisting with major public artworks, producing cultural events, or designing publications. Alongside my artistic practice, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Media and Arts and work by main trade as a Marketing Specialist and freelance visual marketing consultant.

Lead the development of the company's visual brand identity and actively contribute to shaping overarching B2B and B2C marketing strategies.
Manage end-to-end digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, web design and development, social media strategy, and comprehensive copywriting.
Oversee project management and the execution of diverse visual assets, ranging from print layouts and event collateral to internal and external brand presentations.

Produced the national art event Nuori Taide 2025 in Tampere as part of a dedicated production team.
Advocated for intergenerational art practices and facilitated collaborative arts programming.

Provide comprehensive visual design, branding, and layout services for diverse clients, seamlessly blending storytelling with commercial strategy.
Notable projects include website and brand development for Verticom Oy, as well as book cover and layout design for Koivisto 1917–1918 and the fantasy novel Aetherwyn.

January 2020 – July 2020

Constructed the "Palaisinpa Kukkana" glass mosaic mural for the Turtola tram stop commissioned by the City of Tampere.
Managed project documentation and inventory for the large-scale public artwork.

Exhibition Producer & Graphic Designer | Degree Show "Embers" (Galleria Himmelblau) | November 2021 – April 2022

Coordinated a seven-student artist team, serving as the communication link between stakeholders and managing all project deliverables.
Produced exhibition visuals, including gallery design, promotional posters, exhibition texts, and the event website.

Managed a 10-person project team for the exhibition's successful execution.
Oversaw exhibition installation, conflict management, project documentation, and comprehensive stakeholder communication.

Served on the event production and management team, coordinating between organisers and attendees.
Developed and updated the event website, managed social media channels, tracked KPIs, and created custom visual content.

Acted as Team Leader for a six-person group during the RARE Media Challenge.
Coordinated tasks, motivated members, and provided clear instructions throughout the high-paced event.
